PLS receives Primary Health Network recognition

Positive Living Skills founder Cath Shaw and her supportive daughter Suzie travelled to Wagga Wagga last week to accept the finalist award in the 'Promoting Healthy Living' category of the Murrumbidgee Primary Health Network's 2022 Primary Healthcare Awards.

It was wonderful to meet many of the other community members and award winners and contributors to health in the region after a couple of very challenging years for these communities.

We are very grateful for this recognition and for our PLS partnership with Murrumbidgee PHN (MPHN) and their wonderful team which saw 34 school communities in the region access the PLS Primary School Wellbeing program resources and teacher professional development training in the 2021-2022 financial year.

You can learn more about all MPHN 2022 Primary Healthcare Award winners and finalists here, and we hope we have the opportunity to further our partnership in 2023.

Cathy Crick is the grateful Principal of Uranquinty Public School who accessed the PLS resources thanks to MPHN funding, and she could not be happier.

'I'm so impressed with this program.

The Positive Living Skills really steps us through those important skills. '

'I'm seeing more relaxed kids that are learning how important it is to focus on the positive. It's not automatic, we need to teach them and step them through it.'

You can watch Cathy's full comment here.
